450円の急須 / 450 yen teapot

   アメリカに来て　１つ後悔していることがある。

 

 

それは日本から持ってきた450円の急須のことだ

 

 

割れるのがいやなので　家の急須ではなくて

 

 

スーパーで安売りしている急須を持ってきた

 

 

 

なんでだろう

 

 

なんとなく味気ない。

 

 

その理由は

 

 

100円ショップで買った量産型の器と

 

 

一つ一つ丁寧に作られた器　の違いだと思う

 

 

今度　益子に一時帰国したら　

 

 

自分の手荷物として、自分のバックにしのばせて

 

 

家の急須を持って来ようと

 

 

心に誓いました。

 

 

 

I always drink a green tea with a teapot from Japan,

 

 

which I bought at Japanese grocery store.

 

 

It was just a 450 yen (almost 5 dollars)

 

 

At that time, I did not want to break a teapot.

 

 

Therefore, I did not bring my family's teapot.

I should have brought a persimmon glaze teapot.

 

 

It is hard to explain,

 

 

but I feel there is a lack something.

 

 

I think this feeling is from the difference between

 

 

99 cents mass-produced dishes

 

 

and handmade dishes.

 

 

Therefore, I swear I should bring my family's teapot with me,

 

 

when I temporary return.
