益子にも蛍がいた　The time when firefly was in Mashiko

When I was a kid,

 

I remember that I went to rice field to see Firefly.

 

The rice field was just in front of our place.

 

I and my brother and my grand mother

 

were surrounded by a bunch of Fireflies.

 

We took some Fireflies, and we kept in a cage. 

 

 

 

 

When I think about my childhood of summer vacation,

 

I always remember the flush of fireflies

 

 

and smell of fresh trees and goldfish of night summer festival.

 

 

 

 

 

私が子供の頃、

 

蛍を見に家の工房のすぐ前の田んぼに行ったのを覚えている。

 

兄と祖母と私で、

 

そこには本当にたくさんの蛍が飛び交っていた。

 

かごに何匹か入れて飼ったりもした。

 

 

 

 

子供の夏休みを思い出すとき　

 

 

決まって蛍の光と、

 

新鮮な木々の香りと

 

夏祭りの出店の金魚を思い出す。
